This two-day institute for new and experienced academic leaders provides an opportunity to build your leadership toolkit and collaborate with VAIS peers, preparing you for the year ahead. We will engage in interactive sessions and workshops designed to strengthen your leadership skills. A dynamic keynote from Susanne Carpenter will focus on leadership challenges and strategies for success. On day two, we will explore group dynamics and meeting facilitation with The Equity Collaborative. Monthly virtual and in-person MeetUPs will follow, including the opportunity to reconnect at the VAIS Annual Conference on November 4, 2024. We encourage schools to send teams to this institute.

Great group learning experiences depend on skillful agenda design and facilitation of group dynamics. Join us for a day-long dive into the skills necessary for setting up any group within your school for success. We'll explore team dynamics, managing distress, and navigating challenges. You'll walk away with new approaches for facilitating trainings and group work meetings.

SPEAKER BIOS 

Susanne Carpenter is the principal and founder of Carpenter Leadership Consulting- a leadership consulting and executive coaching firm focused on helping leaders and leadership teams become high-performing and strategy-focused. Channeling her own experience as a leader, Susanne empowers leaders to unlock their full potential, fostering confidence, effectiveness, and success. She tailors engagements to help leaders cultivate the necessary tools and strategies to manage their teams and organizations more effectively. Her goal is to help her clients reach their fullest potential and lead with impact. She believes that when leaders are at their best, their organizations thrive. Susanne is a graduate of Westover School and received her B.A. from Wheaton College. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation and is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. She currently sits on the Board of Trustees at Westover School. She lives in the Boston area with her husband and daughter.
