Join VAIS for our annual Charity Golf Invitational on November 18, 2024. This is an adults only event. 

 

ABOUT THE VAIS CHARITY GOLF INVITATIONAL

Our mission is to further the school community health initiatives of charitable organizations that serve Virginia schools.  Each year the VAIS Charity Golf Invitational will select a charity that aligns with that mission!  Our purpose is to strengthen this philanthropy effort, and, at the same time, have fun with friends and support the wonderful game of golf! Proceeds from this year's Invitational will support Morgan’s Message.

ABOUT MORGAN'S MESSAGE

Morgan's Message is a non-profit founded in July of 2020 to honor Morgan Rodgers who was a beloved daughter, sister and fiercely loyal friend and teammate. Morgan was a member of the Duke University Women’s Lacrosse Team, and it was there after suffering what would ultimately become a career ending knee injury that her mental health spiraled downward. Morgan tragically died by suicide in July of 2019. Morgan’s Message strives to eliminate the stigma that surrounds mental health within the student-athlete community and beyond. In addition, their goal is to equalize the treatment of physical and mental health especially in the world of athletics. They aim to expand the dialog on mental health by normalizing conversations, empowering those who suffer in silence and support those that feel alone.
